Better Business Bureau Teams Up with Portland Trail Blazers

BBB Announces Its Sponsorship of NBA Team

October 29, 2014

Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Portland Trail Blazers for the next three seasons. The partnership will connect BBB with 950,000 fans across the Northwest.

“It’s an exciting opportunity,” BBB CEO Tyler Andrew said. “The Trail Blazers are leaders in the region and have some of the best fans in the entire country. We are proud to sponsor this team as it further demonstrates BBB’s commitment to supporting the local community.”

Earlier this month the Trail Blazers teamed up with BBB to host Secure Your ID Day where the identities of hundreds of Oregonians were protected thanks to the free document shredding event. Trail Blazers Director of Alumni Relations Jerome Kersey and mascot Blaze both attended, helping to add to the success of Secure Your ID Day.

“We have already had the pleasure of working successfully with BBB,” said Steve Scott, Trail Blazers Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Marketing & Sales. “Based on our experience with BBB during Secure Your ID Day, we know this partnership will provide security to many deserving members of our community.”

There are many more exciting milestones in store for the 2014-2015 season. Here are a few highlights:

Exclusive events for local BBB Accredited Businesses include a Business Summit in the spring featuring a Trail Blazers executive to address the “Business of Basketball.”

BBB Foundation’s Students of Integrity Scholarship winner will be presented with a $10,000 check on court during the March 28 home game.
